We actually had ice cream here which was a nice treat. They also sell sandwiches. The mining is something kids would enjoy doing.
Sifting through the bag of stones was fun but I had to really ration out the bag or we would've been able to sift it all at one time. We even bought the big bag. Our son didn't mind though, he had a really great time.
Fun, unique experience. Buy a bag of sand with gems in it and pan it out to find them. Great for kids.
The kids (6 and 13) really enjoyed the mining. They were out of a couple mining options, but the kids enjoyed finding gems.
