I have rented cabins for many years from this organization. The actual experience of the Cabin Weekend is phenomenal, but I absolutely dread booking the cabin because their website is not user-friendly at all!!! It takes way too much time and clicking to search through all the different cabins. It is a wonderful business model, so why botch it with such a difficult-to-navigate website?
we stayed at a cabin that this place rents out about a year ago (Sanctuary Cabin) we loved the cabin and the cabin itself was very clean, had a homey rustic feel, and everything was well taken care of. we even got to see a bunch of deer the first night, and the scenery is beautiful. as far as the rental company itself though, they are not the friendliest. a year ago when we checked in, the lady was extremely curt and almost had a condescending tone. we are renting a cabin again today, and i had received a voice mail saying we could check in early. to avoid any possible confusion i called back just to verify that we could come early. a man answered this time and was yet again, condescending and rude. we will probably continue to rent in the future from this company for the simple fact that they are in charge of renting most of the cabins in brown county.
We rented a cabin that had a deceptive description, and this management company's response was the rotten cherry on top. If you're duped by a property's description (we had a "game room" that had exposed fiber glass and plywood floors, with an unbearable smell, for starts), expect to receive a response from management that sides with the property owner regardless of facts. Other reviews describing staff as rude are accurate from my experience. Book with AirBnB and avoid the Hills O' Brown cartel.
My family just stayed 2 nights at a Hills O'Brown cabin, and it was wonderful. As we're the previous rentals we've stayed at. The customer service has always been warm and welcoming. The cabins have always been clean, comfortable and accommodating. It's hard to believe the negative reviews when I've had three wonderful experiences. I have nothing negative to say, and we can't wait for our next stay at a brown County cabin!
We stay here about once a year. WONDERFUL every time. Fair and honest. One of the few places that show pics of each area within the cabin and outside pic as well. Read the description to choose what is best for you. THANK you Hills O'Brown! A place I can count on, each visit!
